Manchester United defender Harry Maguire is not feeling well after picking up an injury in Sunday’s draw with Aston Villa.

Maguire was handed the opportunity by Erik ten Hag to start at centre-back alongside Jonny Evans before helping the ยูฟ่าเบท team keep a clean sheet in a 0-0 draw at Aston Villa in the Premier League on Sunday.

However, towards the end of the first half, Maguire appeared to have a calf injury, forcing Ten Hag to substitute Matthijs de Ligt in the second half.

The England defender’s injury has caused concern among United fans as he limped off after the game wearing protective boots as he walked to the team bus back to Manchester.

The experienced defender suffered a calf injury towards the end of last season, which ruled him out of the FA Cup final win over Manchester City.

In addition to Maguire, another defender, Noussair Mazrawi is substitute at half-time due to his physical condition.

Ten Hag said of the pair: “We have to take them off at half-time. Tomorrow (Monday) we will see what the results are.”

For Manchester United, there are already a number of injury problems at centre-back, including Leni Yoro, Tyrell Malacia and Luke Shaw. Maguire will be able to fully recover during the international break having not been call up to coach Lee Carsley’s England squad.
